Step-by-Step Gameplay

• Search for Lord of the Ocean in the games library of your online casino. (See below for which casinos have the game).
• Select your bet level ranging between £1p and £5.00. You do this by adjusting the total bet using the + and – buttons. You can amend the paylines too, but I highly recommend you keep this at 10 to keep the RTP as high as possible. 
• Decide if you want to play with or without the gamble feature and toggle it on or off by going into ‘menu’ and ‘settings’.
• Hit the spin button and wait to see where the symbols land.
• At least 2 matching symbols landing on a payline from the left reel onwards form winning combinations. For lower paying symbols you will need three matching symbols.

Visuals and Symbols

Lord of the Ocean is set in the lost world of Atlantis with Poseidon as both the ruler of the kingdom and the highest paying symbol! A full screen of him is what you need to get the max payout of 5000x. 

Other high paying symbols include the Mermaid Queen and the Scatter symbol which also doubles up as the Wild. Mid-paying symbols are a treasure chest and statue with lowest paying symbols as 10, J, Q, K and Ace.

The general design is executed well with a deep ocean theme. Above the reels you can see ancient underwater structures, plinths, a shipwreck and some sea life too. I have to give a mention to the audio here. As someone who usually loves playing slots with the sound turned up, I had to actually mute Lord of the Ocean during the base game! I found the incessant high pitched tone that accompanies the reel spins just too irritating personally, but I know some players will enjoy this retro effect. 

Bonus Features

There are two main features in the Lord of the Ocean online slot:

Free Spins

Landing three Scatter symbols, which look like an emerald-encrusted compass, triggers the Free Spins bonus round. When you land it you get 10 Free Spins and those Scatter symbols turn into an animated view of Atlantis as shown in the image below.

Once the bonus round triggers, the game chooses one symbol as the special expanding symbol. In the image below, the game has chosen the underwater statue as the expanding symbol.

During the free spins, whenever you land at least two expanding symbols and form a winning combination, the game expands the symbol to cover the full row. It is possible to get one symbol in every reel covering the full screen which is where you’ll find the max payouts. You can see in the image below, the expanding symbol has dropped in two of the columns.

It is also possible to retrigger the Free Spins by landing another three Scatter symbols within the bonus round. This gives another 10 Free spins.

Gamble Feature

At any point while playing Lord of the Ocean, you can decide to opt-in to the Gamble feature. You can find this under Menu → Settings, and you simply toggle the button as shown below.

With the gamble feature, the game will give you a choice to gamble any winnings or collect them.
