Double Bubble: My Verdict and Rating
I love the retro theme and style of the Double Bubble slot game, but if you’re going to play it, watch out for the highly volatile gameplay. In fact, it’s very much an all-or-nothing game. I played it for a while, hitting nothing but dead spins, then out of the blue, the Bubble Line Multiplier landed and I won all my money back and more.
That’s the thing with Double Bubble, it lures you in with its fun floaty pastel wonderland and then it hits you with wicked metrics. Originally designed by Gamesys, now owned by Aristocrat Interactive, the Double Bubble game has a unique Bubble Line feature and a Bubble Pop Bonus. It took me ages to get the Bubble Pop and I was completely underwhelmed by it, but the Bubble Line payouts were very nice.
Despite its below average RTP, Double Bubble has been a huge hit with UK players, spawing several other Double Bubble slots including Double Bubble Cash Wall, Double Bubble Fizz and Double Bubble Incredibet. Double Bubble Theme & Symbols

Bubble Line Multiplier Feature
In front of the reels, an additional Bubble Line appears with five rounded spaces. When you spin the reels, random symbols on the main grid will have a blue bubble around them. Those symbols are duplicated into the five Bubble Line space creating a new payline.
But here’s the real twist. Make a winning combination in the Bubble Line and it gets multiplied by the number of paylines you’re playing in the game. So if you’re playing with 5 paylines, the Bubble Line win is multiplied by 5x, 10 paylines will be multiplied by. You should always play the games with 20 paylines if you can because all Bubble Line pays are multiplied by 22x. This can result in some impressive payouts, even on small stakes.
In the image below three watermelon symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 have created a winning Bubble Line combination. In the main grid, this would result in just a 25p win,but thanks to the 22x multiplier, it has returned £5.50 instead.
Bubble Pop Bonus
Landing three Bonus symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 triggers the Bubble Pop Bonus. I’d be lying if I said it was easy to get. In all the times I’ve played I’ve only got it once. But, hopefully you’re luckier than me!
When it triggers, you’ll be taken to the Bubble Pop Bonus screen. All you have to do is select one of the Bubbles to reveal a prize. I was underwhelmed by the payout I got but might have just been unlucky.
